Usually when we report back from the Mana Contemporary campus in Jersey City, it’s because threeASFOUR has cooked up some fabulous new dispatch from the future for us to see. But there is a lot going on in this creative hive, including the performance of “Indigo Grey: The Micah Grey Experiment.”  

Not so much a post-apocalypse piece, but a pre-apocalypse caution with hints at the possibility of a technological utopia, the show is certainly apt for our times.

In addition to also using the sort of technology the plot refers to in order to create a more immersive, modern performance experience, “Indigo Grey” also involves a lot dance. Indeed the creators of the show — Garret Coleman and Jason Oremus — are both veteran dancers, known particularly for their prominence in the world of Irish Dance.
