Serene, comfortable, airy, and modern, Totokaelo is as good a place to escape as it is to shop. Originally from Seattle, founder Jill Wenger, has claimed New York as an inspiration for Totokaelo from the beginning; with the opening of the new Soho store, inspiration becomes reality. It’s a place to buy everything from Margiela to The Row, designers who wear their personalities on their sleeve, so to speak.

What really has us excited is the five-floor layout, which creates super chill opportunities to browse through with a friend. Plus our one of our favorite design teams, Vonnegut/Kraft helped build out the interior. The eponymous in-house label has also caught our eye. Located at 54 Crosby, it promises to be a funky alternative to neighboring Bloomingdale’s.
