Taking inspiration from Famed French impressionist Marie Cassatt and lesser known (to me at lease) impressionist Berthe Morisot, Tome calls attention to a famed artistic school where women struggled to have a presence or a voice. The colors and lines of the collection evoke the impressionists palette and style and translate into clothing that is also recalls the impressionists’ historical epoch. The collection was made most memorable by the pinstripes used throughout in a collection that takes ideas from menswear and alchemizes them to a very elegant effect.
