In its new space, with a heightened political bent, this is special time for the Whitney Biennial, and that feeling was palpable for the people who attended the opening reception. Described by the New York Times as a show that brings to the attention of the art world mainstream a sense of social unrest that was “already brewing in small museums, galleries and studios,” the Biennial seems to give voice to a world that Olimpia Dior knows very well and perhaps even embodies. Check out the party and some of that art that caught Olimpia’s eye.
