I visited a new apartment building just completed in 2014. This building , designed by Manabu Chiba, was comprised of small structures that look like white cubes of sugar. The courtyard was designed by Japanese  artist Hiroshi Sugimoto. There was a big cherry tree in the middle which could be seen from the street. The tree, over 70 years old, had been treasured by its neighbors.
